Do you accept CCS?
Yes. Mulberry Kids is a CCS approved service. In 2018 the childcare subsidy has made childcare simpler and more affordable for families. This gives Australian families easier access to Early Childhood Education.

Does my child need to be vaccinated to attend care?
Yes, in accordance with Australian Government legislation and Access to Childcare requirements, all children must have up-to-date vaccinations.

What is the Educator to child ratio?
The ratio in Family Day Care is one educator for a maximum of seven children, and there can be no more than four children who are preschool age or under. This results in a more individualised learning approach.

What should I pack in my child's bag?
Please pack your child's lunchbox, changes of clothes, bottles, nappies, dummies, formula or specialty milk, a small comforter, and a water bottle in their bag. Ensure all items are clearly labelled.
Hats, raincoats, sunscreen, and bed linen are provided by the service.

What should I do if my child is unwell?
If your child is unwell, they must stay at home to prevent the spread of illness, in line with health guidelines. If they become unwell during the day, we will contact you immediately to arrange for their pickup. Mulberry Kids follows the recommendations outlined in 'Staying Healthy in Childcare' and will refer to these guidelines in each case.

Who oversees Mulberry Kids?
All Family Day Care services, Preschools and Long Day Cares operate under the National Quality Framework (NQF).
This framework is overseen by the Australian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) and regulated by the Department of Education to ensure compliance with national standards.
To uphold safety and quality, we adhere to strict policies and procedures. Educators keep their CPR and first aid certifications up to date, and are required to renew their Police Checks, Working with Children Checks, and Medical Clearances annually. Camden Council Coordinators conduct unannounced visits to monitor compliance, assess programs, and ensure our training and professional development remain current.
